Kent C. Ford joined the firm in 1999 and has remained with the firm as a partner since 2001. Mr. Ford has concentrated his practice in the area of workers’ compensation defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ford practiced in the areas of workers’ compensation defense, insurance law, and employment law for the North Carolina law firms of Brooks Stevens & Pope; Edwards Ballard Clark Barrett & Carlson; and Hedrick Eatman Gardner & Kincheloe. He has given numerous presentations regarding workers’ compensation and employment law for employers, insurance carriers, and business groups including the Council on Education in Management, the National Business Institute, and the Lorman Business Center.
Mr. Ford received a Bachelor of Arts cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1989. He graduated from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1992 and served as Associate Chief Justice for the Moot Court Board. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association and its Workers’ Compensation Section, and the Forsyth County Bar Association. Kent's leisure interests include boating and college and professional sports.
